Whilst the market is constantly shifting with the introduction of new product offerings, hands on technologists with a solid OO design and development approach with significant full project life-cycle experience will always be in demand. For the past couple of years there has been an increasing demand for Java / J2EE and C# .NET technologies, however candidates with relevant business knowledge will always remain at a premium.

When finding suitable candidates for the junior to mid level roles, the core criteria remain: technology fit (programming language, operating system, database, multi-threaded), business knowledge (product specific), cultural fit as well as an ability to mentor, lead and expand.
