Project Analyst -Cyber/Security/InfoSec

Leading financial institution seeks a sole contributor Project Analyst to support the Programme/Project Managers on a multi-year Cyber Security & Information Risk Programme. Reporting to the Programme Manager, this role requires someone who might best describe themselves as a hybrid Business Analyst with strong Excel skills coupled with some recent exposure to InfoSec/Cyber Security the only must haves

    We are looking for individuals with the following skills and knowledge:

  • Project Analysis:
  • Support Project Managers to engage with stakeholders, understand objectives and translate these into clearly defined business requirements
  • Engage with stakeholders utilising business requirements to define and agree innovative solutions, developing an understanding of cost/benefit principles
  • Identify and manage any associated risks and issues working closely with identified owners to track, report and resolve in a timely manner
  • Assist with the preparation and development of a supporting business case, including associated costs and resource requirements in line with agreed standards
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans and timelines, identifying key milestones and to track their delivery and achievement
  • Collate accurate and relevant data to support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Work with Project Manager and stakeholders to identify and shape any required changes for review and agreement, via the agreed change request process
  • Cleansing, maintain and providing Quality Assurance (QA) of data used for reporting on assigned projects
  • Applies judgement to assess the relative importance of assigned tasks and prioritises effectively.
  • Governance and Risk Management
  • Own and maintain a log throughout the lifespan of the project to capture and manage project RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies)- working closely with identified owners to track, report and resolve in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate understanding of risk mitigation techniques
  • Understand and adhere to the change framework, gathering data to support application and monitoring.
  • Create governance packs and regular status reports documenting progress, risks, and issues, with escalation in line with the agreed project governance
  • Document and maintain a record of key decisions taken and any associated project artefacts
  • Provide secretariat support arranging governance and stakeholder meetings, documenting key decisions
  • Assist with the overview and adherence of agreed project deadlines and schedules
